Editor-in-chief of New York-based newspaper presents his book in Baku

American journalist Mark Verkhovsky and editor-in-chief of the New York-based "New Frontier" newspaper Nobert Yevdayev presented the books authored by them at the Museum of Miniature books in Icheri Sheher on December 1.

Both books are tiny and published in a format of 45 by 55 millimeters. Nobert Yevdavev’s book titled "Rhythms of Baku" has 122 pages, 20 illustrations and 15 poems. Mark Verkhovsky’s book titled "Melodies of Absheron" has 288 pages, consists of six stories and 15 illustrations. Incidentally, the illustrations for the books are works of the famous Azerbaijani artist Ismail Mammadov.

Director of the Museum of Miniature Books Zarif Salakhova has rendered greater support to authors, who are former Baku residents, in publication of their books.

In his turn, Nobert Yevdayev recited several of his poems about his hometown, remembered years of his childhood and youth in Baku and added that the Azerbaijani capital has changed dramatically for the better over the last years. During the event, it also became known that the Writers' Union has awarded Nobert Yevdayev the title of "Honorary Member of the Union."
