Azerbaijan's Transport Ministry commissions new bridge

Azerbaijani Transport Ministry has put into operation a new road bridge across the Gusarchay River, Transport Ministry's website reports. Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov attended opening ceremony. According to the Ministry, the new bridge was built on the place of the old one. Its length is 78 meters, width - 11 meters.

At the opening ceremony Mammadov stressed that at present talks are underway with Korean companies on the construction of the Guba-Gusar highway. The minister said the highway will be constructed in accordance with European standards, and the implementation of the project will be launched in 2011.
