Son murders father in Baku

Police office No. 2 has detained a resident of Khazar District of Baku Rovshan Atakishiyev suspected of committing a premeditated murder of his father, which took place two weeks ago on November 12.

According to the Interior Ministry, the preliminary investigation revealed that Rovshan killed his father Vahid Atakishiyev, 64, in a family conflict. According to investigators, the son punched his father on the head which proved fatal.

However, forensic experts say examination of the deceased’s head found a few injuries resulting from blunt blows. According to a preliminary conclusion, the man died from a brain haemorrhage.

The motive of the crime is being investigated. Rovshan Atakishiyev was detained at his house in Buzovna village. It is supposed that Rovshan’s father came home very drunk which caused a dispute between them leading to a bloody family drama.
