Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the French National Center for Scientific Research have signed an agreement to implement a series of new projects.
In an interview with AzerTAc, ANAS President Mahmud Karimov said: “We signed our first agreement with the French National Center for Scientific Research during President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Paris in 2007.”
“We have implemented several joint projects since then. And now we inked another agreement which envisages the realization of new projects.”
“We will, in particular, embark on projects in the fields of geophysics and archaeology. Under the agreement the projects will be financed by France,” he added.
Mahmudov said ANAS also signed an agreement with UNESCO, which was aimed at boosting the scientific cooperation between the Academy and the Organization.
