Azerbaijani Prosecutor-General's Office, Interior Ministry announce results of probe into illegal transplantation of human organs

Azerbaijani Prosecutor-General's Office and Interior Ministry have publicized the results of investigations on illegal transplantation of human bodies.

Accordinag to the information, based on a legal assistance appeal received by the Ukrainian law enforcement bodies the Azerbaijani Prosecutor-General's Office and Interior Ministry have held a joint investigation.

The investigation found that a group of the Ukrainian citizens being in conspiracy has brought citizens of various countries to Azerbaijani republic and organized illegal surgery operations on them in accordance with kidney transplantation by the Ukrainian doctors in the Azerbaijan International University in 2009.
