Seminar on harmonization of Azerbaijan's legislation with EU legislation

A seminar on conformity with European Union legislation was held here by the Economic Development Ministry and European Union`s TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument).

The event brought together European Union experts and representatives of a number of governmental bodies.

According to the Minstry`s press-service, representative of the structure Sahil Babayev gave a background of the TAIEX. He pointed out 16 out of 20 projects presented by the government agencies were adopted by the TAIEX.

The progress has been achieved in implementation of the action plan on bringing Azerbaijan`s legislation in line with European Union`s laws. EU experts provided information about transposition of EU legislation into the national legislation.
