Museum based on 'Red Book' to be established in Azerbaijan

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan will create a museum based on the second edition of the "Red Book", said Ministry's spokesperson Irada Ibrahimova said.

According to her, the museum is established in order to facilitate the organization and raise efficiency of work conducted in the period by the next publication of "Red Book".

Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources plans to issue the second edition of the "Red Book of Azerbaijan" in Azerbaijani and English languages. 

The book will consist of sections devoted to animals and plants threatened with extinction. The first edition of the "Red Book of Azerbaijan" includes 14 species of mammals, 36 species of birds, five species of fish, 13 species and subspecies of amphibians and reptiles, 40 species of insects and 140 species of plants.
