3 killed, 5 injured in Zagatala road accident

Three people were killed and five seriously injured in a fatal road accident on the highway led from Yevlakh and Zagatala regions of Azerbaijan to Georgia, local police office said.

The accident took place in the territory of Zagatala region at about 10.00 on Tuesday. As a result of collision of two cars, resident of Aliabad village of Zagatala region Isgandar Hagverdiyev, 30, resident of Gakhingiloy village of Gakh region, Dmitry Epatashvili, 46, and his seven-year old son Shota were killed.

Residents of Gakhingiloy village Babajanashvili Khivisa, 42, Kolacahshvili Nastan, 44, Kikahshvili Telava, 35, and two unknown people were injured and taken to the Zagatala central hospital.

The accident is being investigated.
