
This year, Azerbaijan has registered 261,000 acts of civil status, the Azerbaijani Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov told the "Respublika" newspaper. According to the minister, compared to last year, this year an increase is observed in acts of civil status, which have passed the state registration.
During this period, about 2.3 million of notarial acts have been registered. The amount of charges paid to the state budget amounted to 7.5 million manat, the minister said.
As a result of the competition held with a view to staffing the notary authorities with highly qualified personnel, 30 persons have been appointed as public notaries.
Qualification Commission of the Ministry held competitions for 115 people, including public notaries and existing employees of notary authorities, 94 of which received certificates for notary public post.
