In early November, water flow in the Kura River slightly increased compared with the third decade of October by 40 m3 /s to reach 188 m3/sec, according to National Environmental Monitoring Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan.
The monitoring revealed a significant excess of maximum allowable rate of biogenic water pollutants like phenol and copper compounds as a result of discharge of industrial and domestic wastes by Georgia and Armenia to the Kura River.
The monitoring also showed that water flow in the Araz River is 15.6 m3 / s. Oxygen treatment at various points of Kura and Araz rivers varies in the range of 5.91-6.51 mg / liter.
