
The Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry has conducted monitoring
of prices in major shopping sites to prevent an artificial increase in
the price of meat products during the Qurban holiday, ministry
spokesman Abbas Aliyev has told Trend today.
According to the spokesman, the monitoring was conducted in Baku and the regions.
Aliyev said the monitoring will continue until the end of the holidays.
No price increases have yet been revealed. In contrast, a drop in
prices on lamb by about 0.50 manat was observed in some commercial
establishments.
