Man commits suicide, after killing his father, wife and 2 children in Sumgait - UPDATE

Names of family members murdered in Azerbaijan’s Sumgayit city have been elucidated, City Police Office told APA. The criminal Elshad Rustamzadeh was mental patient.

He killed his 70-year-old father Karpat Rustamov, 35-year-old wife Ulviye Rustamova, 2 daughters – Samira and Nargiz, using a hammer. When Rustamzadeh became sure that family members died he threw himself from the roof of a building. Currently, operational search actions are underway.

The incident was recorded in 17th microdistrict of the city. City resident Elshad Rustamzadeh killed his father, wife, 2 children and then committed suicide by throwing himself from the roof of a building.

Currently, investigation group created by officers of Sumgayit city Prosecutor’s Office and Police Office is investigating the site of the incident. Sumgayit city Prosecutor’s Office has launched a criminal case on the fact, investigations are underway.
