AZAL airplane which made an emergency landing in Istanbul airport safely landed in Baku earlier this morning.

The Boeing-757 200 aircraft which last night made an emergency landing in Ataturk airport in Istanbul on its way from the Turkish capital to Baku landed in the Azerbaijani capital at 05:25 this morning, a source in Ataturk Airport told Trend. The flight number is J2-078.
The aircraft made an emergency landing for technical reasons. Inspection of the aircraft did not reveal any problems, a source said. The aircraft had 221 passengers on board.
"The flight was fine," the airport source added.
AZAL Spokesperson Maharram Safarli confirmed the reports to ANS PRESS saying the emergency landing took place due to technical malfunction.
"There is nothing surprising about it. This is common case for airlines around the world," he said.
