SECO to render technical assistance to Azerpocht

The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) is preparing to render technical assistance to Azerbaijan`s national postal operator Azerpocht LLC in connection with providing financial and banking services.

To that end the Secretariat has already undertook commitment to award a grant of U.S. $1 million.

“The technical project program is aimed at providing assistance to strategic planning of the operator in connection with its transformation into a system of postal banks, increasing the capacity of staff of the central and regional (district) offices, as well as Azerpoct`s rebranding in connection with the start of financial and banking services,” the SECO office said.
