Groundbreaking ceremony of a synagogue was held in Baku, Azerbaijan on October 27. The new synagogue will be built in the territory called “Jewish settlement”, near the synagogue that is being demolished in connection with the construction of Winter Park.

Head of the Mountain Jews community in Azerbaijan Semyon Ikhilov, head of European Jews Community Gennadi Zelmanovich, head of Georgian Jews Community Abik Charukhchev, Baku Caspian bishop Alexander, head of Baku Catholic Church Vladimir Fekete, department chief of Azerbaijan State Committee on Work with Religious Associations Gunduz Ismayilov, ambassadors of Israel, Russia, Belarus to Azerbaijan Michael Lavon-Lotem, Vladimir Dorokhin, Nikolai Patskevich, heads of Jewish societies, intellectuals attended the ceremony.
