
High speed caused the fatal accident in which journalist Shahin Aghabayli died, official of the Centyral State Traffic Police Office Vagif Najafov said.
The incident took place on Baku-Gazakh highway. Nissan-Tida (90 FJ 524) owned by journalist Shahin Aghabayli and Agil Alasgarli got out of control and turned over. The investigator said that the cause of the accident was high speed.
20-meter wheel track has been revealed during examination of the site. Moreover, the car ran 50m away from the road and turned over several times. He noted that criminal case had been launched under the article 263.2 of the Criminal Code.

14:13Famous Azerbaijani journalist Shahin Aghabayli has died in road accident, Central State Traffic Police Office said. The incident occured today at 51st km of Baku-Gazakh highway. Nissan-Tiida owned by journalist Shahin Aghabayli and Agil Alasgarli turned over. As a result, Aghabayli died at the site while Alasgarli sustained injuries. He was taken to Clinical Medical Center. The hospital confirmed Aghabayli's death. Investigation is underway on the fact.
