Azerbaijan, Mexico discuss cooperation prospects in sports and youth policy

Azerbaijan and Mexico discussed prospects of cooperation in the field of sports and youth policy. During his visit to Mexico, Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov met with Bernardo de la Garza, Director General of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport of the United States of Mexico.

The sides discussed issues of mutual exchange of students, organization of competitions, as well as national teams' joint practice sessions in different sports, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico said.

The meeting considered advisable to start talks on a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation in the field of sports and youth policy. The meeting was also attended by the Azerbaijani ambassador to Mexico Ilgar Mukhtarov. Rahimov's visit to Mexico took place within participation at the 17th General Assembly of Association of National Olympic Committees.
