Azerbaijan will coordinate efforts of working group on fight against illegal drug trade

The 7th meeting of the working group on fight against illegal drug trade was held at GUAM Headquarters in Kyiv on October 21. The participants called for further intensification of cooperation towards fighting against illegal drug trade, reaffirmed the importance of regular exchange of information, exchanged views on structure, tasks and functions of future interstate expert commissions of GUAM.

The participants discussed suggestions to the project, organizational and practical actions for 2011.

The candidacy of Azerbaijan was suggested as a probable coordinator of the working group’s efforts to fight against illegal drug trade for the period of 2011-2012. The next meeting of the working group will take place in April, 2011.
