The details of the accident that occurred in Surakhani district of Baku have been announced. Surakhani district prosecutor's office has established the identity of a woman who was hit by a train last night.

District prosecutor's office investigator Shamil Shammadli said incident occurred in Amirjan village behind the market. Fakhriya Ibahimova, 41, mother of three, while returning from the market, was run over by a freight train when crossing the railway on the 44th kilometer of the second picket.

The investigator confirmed that the train tore the woman apart. It is also reported that Ibrahimova’s children were together with their mother at this time, but, fortunately, they were not hurt. The woman failed to use the passage 4-5 meters away from the scene of incident.

The driver of the train has not been detained yet. The prosecutor's office has opened a criminal case under article 262.3 of the Criminal Code (negligently breaching the rules of operation of railway, water and air transport, resulting in death).

The investigator did not rule out that woman’s high-heel shoes could have stuck between rails making it impossible to cross the road in time.
