
Azerbaijan uncovered 63 cases of human trafficking, rendered five criminal gangs harmless, uncovered 29 offenders for nine months of 2010, Azerbaijan's first deputy interior minister Vilayat Eyvazov said at the Parliament's meeting.
Today the Parliament heard Azerbaijan's national coordinator on combating human trafficking, Deputy Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov's report.
Some 13 of internationally wanted criminals arrested by Interpol and handed over to the investigating agencies, at present measures to arrest 43 wanted are underway, Eyvazov said.
According to him, 25 of 32 trafficking victims are placed in the appropriate rehabilitation centers. Each of them received medical and psychological assistance.
Over the past period law enforcement agencies uncovered 611 facts begging and illegal involvement of child to labor, he said.
