Number of military crimes in Azerbaijan reduced

“The number of the military crimes has minimized in Azerbaijan this year compared with the nine months of last year,” Azerbaijan’s Military Prosecutor Khanlar Valiyev said.

According to him, the number of the crimes related to the evasion of military service and desertion has reduced much within the nine months of this year. Khanlar Valiyev also spoke about the recent accident of the military vehicle on Sumgayit-Khizi highway. According to him, criminal case has been launched on the fact, investigation is underway.

“It can not be stated unambiguously that the driver’s inexperience caused the accident. The road was reportedly unfit in that territory. It will be investigated, legal assessment will be given in the end,” he said.

The accident happened on Sumgayit-Khizi highway on September 23. Three servicemen were killed, as the lorry owned by the military unit of the Defense Ministry fell off the bridge.
