
Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Zakir Garalov met Wednesday Yelena Leonenko, deputy chairman of the Investigation Committee under the Russian Prosecutor's office. Garalov praised the relationship between Azerbaijan and Russia, particularly the bilateral legal cooperation.
He briefed Leonenko on the ongoing social, economic, political and legal reforms, as well as consequesnses of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Garalov also recalled the visit of chairman of the Investigation Committee under the Russian Prosecutor`s office Alexander Bastrykin to Azerbaijan in 2008. He noted the Cooperation Program signed as a result of the visit would contribute to developing cooperation between the prosecutors` offices of the two countries.
Yelena Leonenko, in turn, said Russia attaches particular importance to strenghthening legal cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Leonenko underlined the importance of the mentioned Cooperation Program as well, saying it would contribute to deepening relevant bilateal ties.
