World Bank to embark on second phase of irrigation project in Azerbaijan

The first phase of the World Bank-funded Azerbaijan irrigation distribution system and management improvement has been completed. The second phase envisages improvement work in 30 regions, project manager David Meerbach said.

The budget of the second phase of the project is USD 80 million. The implementation of the project will start in early 2011.
