
The Baku Metro subway has introduced a new way to pay its fares, the head of the Baku Metro's Spokesperson Nazakat Tanriverdiyeva said. According to Tanriverdiyeva, people traveling on the subway can charge the electronic balance on their mobile phones to purchase travel fares.
The service, implemented jointly with Mobisky Company, is available to subscribers of mobile operator Azercell. To pay, Azercell subscribers must send an empty text message to 9901 for a single trip, 9903 fo three trips and 9905 for five trips. The cost of one trip is 99 units, three trips (295 units) and five trips (490 units).
