
An international judges conference is being held at the initiative of the Georgian Constitutional Court at the Batumi Sheraton Hotel on Sept. 17-18, the court said. The "Value of contradictory and coinciding opinions in the development of judicial control" event aims to discuss controversial topics.
Georgian and foreign judges and experts, including those from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, Moldova, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and Greece, members of the Venice Commission and judges of the European Court of Human Rights were invited for the conference. The event was organized by the Georgian Constitutional Court and the Organization of German Technical Cooperation with the support of the Venice Commission.
