Heydar Aliyev Foundation finishes week-long aid campaign

A week-long charity campaign to help children with a cleft lip ended today at the WorldMed clinic. The campaign was sponsored by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. During the campaign, 43 children from low-income families who suffer from having a cleft lip received free surgery. This is the second year the clinic has provided the free surgery with the assistance of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Under the project, 400 children received check ups, and 200 underwent surgery. Operations were conducted by maxillofacial surgeon, WorldMed Chief Doctor Aziz Aliyev and the U.S. Smile Train medical organization.
