Azerbaijani flag installed on Agri Mountain in Turkey

Five Azerbaijani alpinists have installed the country's national flag at the top of the Agri Mountain in Turkey. The alpinists also raised placards reading national leader Heydar Aliyev's “One nation, two states” and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's “Azerbaijan`s joy is our joy, Azerbaijan`s grief is our grief” words.

The Azeri climbers were joined by their counterparts from Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Iran, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Turkey. The Agri Mountain has two peaks – the big peak (5,137m) and the little peak (3,898m).
