Azerbaijan's Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov met with new resident-coordinator of the UN in Fikret Akcura on Aug. 26.

Mammadov praised Azerbaijan-UN cooperation, in particular implementation of joint projects.
The Minister briefed the UN official on judicial-legal reforms conducted under President Ilham Aliyev.
Akcura hailed Azerbaijan's development.
“Azerbaijan achieved such a level of development which other countries can achieve only within decades.”
The UN resident-coordinator expressed readiness for further legal cooperation with Azerbaijan.
They also exchanged views over promotion of human rights, improvement of legislation, creation of administrative courts and strengthening of the Azeri Justice Academy's potential.
