Azerbaijan's Ecology, Interior Ministries monitor domestic waste management in coastal areas

The employees of the Ministries of Ecology and Natural Resources and Interior Ministry held joint raids on the territory of the Caspian Sea coast city of Sumgait. The raids aimed to study management of the municipal solid waste in accordance with the law.

The Jorat municipality has been fined for 7, 000 manat as a legal entity due to burning of waste along the Sumgait-Novkhani coastal route, the ecology ministry reported.

The Ltd. Sumgait Purity Department has been fined for 7, 000 manat as a legal entity due to the fact that the waste generated in catering facilities on the coastal territory in Sumgait are not managed properly.

Administrator of the Sam catering N. Asgarov, Administrator of the Al-Amrah catering A. Mikayilov, Administrator of the Sahil -1 catering N. Amirov, Administrator of the Pearl catering K. Mammadov, Administrator of the Ugur catering N. Verdiyev and Administrator of the Peribulag catering S. Safarov have been fined for 500 manat due to improper management of wastes in the coastal territory in Sumgait.

Administrator A. Zamanov has been fined for 500 manat as an individual due to the fact that solid waste generated in catering facility on the coastal territory in Sumgait is not managed in due manner.
