Azerbaijan released about 347 million species of fingerlings into Caspian Sea this year

Fish farms in Azerbaijan released about 346.9 million fingerlings of various species into the Caspian Sea in the first half of 2010, the State Statistics Committee said.

"Nearly 56,000 salmon, 341.2 million fine-mesh and 5.7 million fry fish-eating plants were released into water basins and reservoirs of the country in the first half of the year, " the committee said. In 2010, Azerbaijan fish production totalled 56.9 AZN.
