Women prisoners undergo medical check-up in Azerbaijan

Women prisoners serving sentences in Azerbaijan have undergone a medical check-up. According to a joint plan of the Penal Service and the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs the purpose of the check-up, conducted Aug. 20, is identification and treatment of oncological diseases in women prisoners, Public Relations Center of the Justice Ministry's Penal Service said.

The check-ups were held with the participation of oncogynaecologists and Ultrasound specialists of the Main Health Department of Baku and City Oncological Dispensary.
