Azerbaijan Press Council believes media outlets will join memorandum of fighting "Black PR"

Chairman of the Azerbaijani Press Council believes that the media outlets will join the memorandum of combating "Black PR" in the press.

"I believe that press agencies will joint to such kind of memorandum, if it is available," the Press Council chairman Aflatun Amashov told Trend Aug.18.

The Press Council decided to strengthen combating "Black PR" in the press before the parliamentary elections. In connection with it a memorandum is under preparation. According to Amashov, at present, proposals for the expansion of the Press Council's Commission Combating Racketeering and for signing a memorandum of fighting "Black PR", are under preparation. Proposals envisage all media outlets' joining the memorandum, which may have an impact on public opinion, regardless of political orientation.

Amashov said that he doesn't consider real holding "Black PR" in the press in Azerbaijan before the parliamentary elections.
