
By the end of this week the heat is expected to decline in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry National Hydrometeorological Department official Umayra Tagiyeva said.
"Heat will continue in the first half of the week in the country. Air temperature will be 36-39 degrees in Baku and Absheron peninsula during the day, in the Aran region - 39-41 degrees, in the foothills and mountainous areas - 26-31 degrees," Tagiyeva said.
She said the temperature will decline by 3-4 degrees in the second half of the week. "Short rains will be observed in some foothill and mountain areas of the country," Tagiyeva added.
