New subway station to be opened in Baku next year

New subway station will be opened in Baku next May, chief engineer of the Baku underground system Elbrus Muradov told APA-ECONOMICS. Muradov said the new station would be located on Hazi-Aslanov – Memar Ajami line following the Azadlig Prospekti station. The new station is conditionally named as "Mushvig". The underground system official said the construction work was continued currently according to the schedule.

Baku subway was founded in 1967 and there are 22 stations and one depot existing. On November 10, 2009, the President of Azerbaijan issued an order about some measures for the development of prospects of the Baku underground system.
