Big sum of money stolen from Heydar Aliyev International Airport

AZN 90 000 were stolen from a cargo terminal at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The incident happened on July 31, spokesman for the Interior Ministry Ehsan Zahidov told APA. He said they launched criminal investigation and began immediate operational measures while receiving information about robbery.

As a result of operational searches the Air Transport Police found out that money was robbed by cashier of the terminal Sevda Rahimova and her husband Ilham Rahimov. They were detained in Gabala region. Police found 66 035 US dollars and AZN 5220 with the detainees. The investigation is going on.
