Criminal case on incident at military unit in Azerbaijan's Dashkasan region to be submitted to court

Five men - officers Valad Gurbanov, Rustam Ahmadov, Ali Imanov,  Fuad Mutallimov and Vazeh Babayev, who are charged under article 311.3.1, 311.3.2 (bribery) and 331 (insulting, beating or torturing a soldier) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan were detained in connection with the armed incident in a military unit located in Dashkesan.

The criminal case has been submitted to judge Rashid Huseynov's consideration. Data of review of the criminal case is unknown yet.

Two soldiers shot dead four military servicemen and injured two at Azerbaijani Defence Ministry Military Unit No. N in the Dashkesen region Jan. 28 at 6:00 p.m. The soldiers shot themselves after the crime.

The Military Prosecutor Office's Heinous Crimes Department launched a criminal case in accordance with Articles 120.2.1 (deliberate murder committed by a group of individuals, group of persons by prior conspiracy, an organized group or criminal association (criminal organization), 120.2.3 (deliberate murder of the victim or his relatives in connection with the implementation of this person performance or the performance of public debt) and 120.2.7 (deliberate murder of two or more persons), the Prosecutor Office said.
