Baku Traffic Police Department announces number of cars in Baku

Spokesman for the department Jamshid Hanifayev said latest statistics revealed 562,878 cars are registered in Baku. 493,654 cars are owned by physical persons and 69,224 by legal entities.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, import of the non-Euro-2 transport means was banned.

The State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent said only European vehicles produced after 1997, US and Latin American vehicles produced after 1996 and Russian vehicles produced after 2006 will be allowed to be imported to Azerbaijan.
