Elevator falls down from 4th floor in Baku, leaving people dead and injured

An accident occured during the construction of a new administrative building of Azerbaijan International Bank.

Reportedly, at approximately 10:00, an elevator, which was being used for the repair works in front of the building fell down. As a result of the accident, elevator workers Vladimir Salikov and Ali Mirgamidov fell down along with the elevator from the 4th floor.

Mirgamidov died on his way to the hospital. Salikov was placed in a medical center, with a spine fracture diagnosis. A criminal case has been opened due to this accident, and its under investigation.
