Solmaz Amanova, Azerbaijani children's book writer, full member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences, has been awarded a Leonardo da Vinci Medal for her book “Cloistral drugstore” at the International Congress Euromedica – Hanover 2010.

The book contains three collected stories (poems, fairy tales and plays) about Albanian cloisters as well as Karabakh and Ganja khanates.
The Leonardo da Vinci Medal is presented to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the painting, literature, sculpture, architecture through research, teaching, publications, and other activities.
The medal was instituted by European Awards Committee under the UN to mark the 550th birthday of Leonardo da Vinci.
