Azerbaijani specialists prepare remote-control devices to defuse mines and hand bombs

Seismic Mine Fuse “Gighiljim – 5” (“Spark”) can blow up 5-6 mines or other explosive substances at a distance of 250 m by seismic effects. Feeding from electrical energy, “Gighiljim” consists of seismic detectors and control block, as well as from an accumulator.

It can be used in mine clearing processes for units attacking from equipment. For the first time, “Gighiljim” was demonstrated in IDEF exhibition held in Istanbul in 2009. Information on this device was made public at SOFEX military exhibition held in Jordan last month.
