Azerbaijan National Committee for European Integration appeals in connection with the tragedy in Osh

The Azerbaijan National Committee for European Integration (ANCEI) herewith expresses its concussion and deep unrest because of and in connection with the bloody events arisen in Kyrgyzstan, the mass slaughter and a danger of dissipation of a state.

These events are arisen in a situation of changes in regime in power, non gestation of possibility of forming the state authorities within the country and fragility of powers. In such a situation, despite Kyrgyzstan is a member of the Collective Security Agreement and it has already appealed for assistance, it couldn’t reach any considerable support from the member states that complicates the current terrible situation. The foreign states and international institutions which are able to influence the events, estimating all of these events as the internal affaires of Kyrgyzstan demonstrate factually a position of an observer regarding the mass slaughter of two fraternal nations – Uzbeks and Kyrgyzs.

As the dangerous development of events proves, the indifference would cause the deepening of inter-nation conflict and stability of the chaos. In case if this situation is not changed towards positive, the spreading out of this flame to other countries of the Central Asia will be possible.


ANCEI:

- appealing to the western and Turkic heads of state, considers necessary to start the consultations in connection with Kyrgyzstan;

- notes that preventing the complications of the tragedy will be historical mission for Turkic heads of state;

- draws to the attention the necessity of assistance to the interim authority of Kyrgyzstan aiming at normalizing the state to the attention of the Chairman of UN, the secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Conference and the  presidents of Russia, USA and Turkey.


ANCEI in this day of mourning compassionates the Kyrgyz state and people.
