A total of 18 representatives of Azerbaijani libraries are attending 17th International Conference of Libraries and Information in Crimea that opened on June 7.

The conference will discuss development of library science, new trends and many other issues. In total, the conference has brought together 2,000 participants from 130 countries worldwide. Azerbaijan is represented by leadership and employees of the Presidential Library, Foreign Ministry’s Library, Kocharli Children’s Library and Jabbarli Youth Library.
Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry official Latifa Mammadova will report on attainments of Azerbaijan’s library science on the first day of the conference. Azerbaijani books will be presented to the conference participants by girls in national dress. The conference will last till June 12.
