On the 3d of June the representatives of the British School in Baku together with HOMS (Heads of Missions Spouses) visited the Buzovna Boarding School N. 13. The Buzovna School is home for 200 children who are in danger of Tuberculosis. 100 children have only one parent and almost all children come from vulnerable families spread over the country.
HOMS and the British School in Baku started the renovation of one bathroom at Buzovna’s School. ”It is a huge project which is already in process. We are so happy that the British school in Baku agreed to cooperate with us. It is an expensive project and we are sharing the costs 50/50 with the B.S.B.”, said Mrs. Aldona Krajewska, the Spouse of Polish Ambassador in Baku.
“Ambassadors’ Spouses advised us to support Buzovna’s Boarding School as they have been working wit this institution for 3 years. I think it is good to get involved in places which really are in need of help. Today with Ambassador’s Spouses we are here not only to see how the renovation work of the bathroom is being done, we also brought donations from our school students”, Mr. David Draper, the Principal of the B.S.B said.
The head of the Parent Association of British School in Baku Mrs. Nargiz Kriman has initiated the campaign at the B.S.B. which was aimed to collect toys, books, table games for children at Buzovna’s School. “We hope we can make children a little bit happier. Especially now when holiday started and yet they still have to stay in an institution. Now they will be able to enjoy playing and reading. By organizing the campaign we focused on International Children’s day.” Mrs. Nargiz Kriman said.
