A quake jolted Baku this morning at 09:50, the Azerbaijani Seismological Service reported.

A 4.2-magnitude quake that jolted the Azerbaijani capital Baku in themorning today have confused the people.
Residents in the Caspian coastal area left their homes after feeling trembles. Some of the companies evacuated their staff members. Later the residents returned home and employees to the offices. The magnitude of trembles in the coastal area was 2.0-3.0. No casualties and devastation were reported.
It was the strongest earthquake in Baku after 6.2-magniutude quake in the city on November 25, 2000. No casualties were reported during that earthquake, but some of the buildings were damaged.

11:43The city residents felt the tremors. Magnitude of tremors was 3-4 points in Baku and about 3 points in outskirts. The epicenter was located 50 km northwest of Baku in the Caspian Sea. Tremors were felt across the city. The staff of a number large offices was evacuated.
