Azerbaijai ombudsperson meets CoE Deputy Secretary General

Azeri Higher Commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova has met Council of Europe Deputy Secretary General Maud de Boer-Buquicchio.
Suleymanova highlighted efforts of the Ombudsman Office towards “effectively implementing" the National Action Plan on protection of human rights. The Ombudswoman also informed the COE official about the course of the implementation of the Plan.

She said the Ombudsman Office enjoys “successful” cooperation with different bodies of the Council of Europe. They exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest, including protection of children's rights.
