Imishli region of Azerbaijan shatters of earthquake and suffers from floods

The overflow in the Sarisu Lake has washed away dams flooding some areas in Allahmadatli and Talishli villages of the Imishli region as a result, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

"The Ministry of Emergency Situations and other agencies are working to restore and strengthen levees and are taking other security measures," the ministry said.

In the meantime, an earthquake took place 20 kilometres of the north-western Imishli at night on May 20. Swing was 3.10, depth - 17 km. Tremors were not felt.
