Egyptian Cultural Center opens in Baku

A new building of the Egyptian Cultural Center has opened in Azerbaijan's capital.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, director of the Center Adel Darvish told of organization's activity in the country. Darvish praised Azerbaijanis' curiosity about Egyptian culture and history. Egyptian ambassador to the country Sabir Abdulgadir Mansur touched upon friendly relations between the two countries.

The ambassador said “Azerbaijan is the most important partner of Egypt in the region”.
Touching upon the historical relations between the two countries, Mansur recalled former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser `s visit to Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan in 1958.

First Deputy Minister of Education Mohamed G. Abou Ali expressed confidence “opening of the Egyptian Cultural Center will contribute to strengthening educational cooperation between the two countries”.
