Law on Azerbaijani citizens' identity cards changed

Azerbaijani Parliament has made amendments and additions to the laws "Identity card of Azerbaijan" and "Confirmation of sample of Azerbaijani citizen's identity card".

"According to these changes, the ID card will have the validity period," the Committee on Legal Policy and State Building chairman Ali Huseynov said.

He said that the identity card of a citizen under 16 years of age has the series and the card number, name and surname of the citizen, the names of his parents, time and place of his birth, gender, blood type, location, name of the organization issuing the identity card, date of issue and expiry identity; the identity card of a citizen older 16 years - marital status and military rank, height, eye color, as well as the signature of the owner and photo.
