About 1.4 tons of expired products removed from sale in Azerbaijan

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed about 1.4 tons of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry reported today.

Monitoring carried out in the Yasamal, Binagadi, Narimanov, Sabayel and Nasimi districts of Baku, as well as Shaki, Gusar, Ganja and Naftalan regions of Azerbaijan.

The expired food products include sausages, confectionery products, canned goods, pasta, butter, milk and dairy products, rice, tea, coffee, peas, mushrooms, persimmon, baby food, fruit juices and beer. Protocols on administrative violations have been complied on enterprises and individuals.
