Azerbaijan State Protection Fund registers 498 foreigners in first quarter

"As of Apr.1, 8513 people were registered in private register system. Majority of peoples among them are Turkish citizens - 4784 people," - Babayev said.

According to him, during the quarter increase of number of other countries' citizens was also observed. In private register system registered citizens of Georgia - 1248 people, Russia - 557, Iran - 278, India - 232 Bosnia and Herzegovina - 120, China - 103, UK - 90, Philippine - 84, Ukraine - 77, Pakistan - 74, Kazakhstan - 65, Malaysia - 64, Uzbekistan - 63, Germany - 59 Turkmenistan - 51, Italy - 47 and the U.S. - 40.

Application private register system in Azerbaijan is due to the need to involve along with the citizens of the republic also foreigners who receive a salary from the sources of the Azerbaijan Republic in compulsory social insurance.
